Level 3Battlefield Assets

These unofficial rules can be used to replace the Armored and Un-Armored Nano-Barriers on page 110 of the CAV 2 rulebook.

Armored Nano-Barrier
Point Cost: 50
Range: B2B
Resolution: Automatic Success

Effect: A Model with the Engineer SA may set down a 2" to 3" long wall that is 1" in height with one end of it in B2B with the Engineer. This wall acts as a Vertical Obstacle, will block LOS and provide Heavy Cover. This wall is considered to have a DV of 12 and may be attacked as if it were a Model. It is considered destroyed if it takes any damage. This Battlefield Asset is never "used up" and may be used once each turn.

Un-Armored Nano-Barrier
Point Cost: 25
Range: B2B
Resolution: Automatic Success

Effect: A Model with the Engineer SA may set down a 2" to 3" long wall that is 2" in height with one end of it in B2B with the Engineer. This wall acts as a Vertical Obstacle and will block LOS and provide Light Cover. This wall is considered to have a DV of 0 and may be attacked as if it were a Model. It is considered destroyed if it takes any damage. This Battlefield Asset is never "used up" and may be used once each turn.

Battlefield Support Strikes

These unofficial rules can be used to replace the Smoke Strike on page 113 of the CAV 2 rulebook.

Smoke Strike
Point Cost: 10 per attack
Resolution: Automatic Success
Range: 48"

Effect: After the Target Point has been selected, determine a second point on the table by performing a Drift Roll and adding 2" to the result. The Smoke Strike creates a 2" wide, 3" tall straight line AOE between these two points. The AOE provides Light Cover for one full turn.

Heavy Smoke Strike
Point Cost: 30 per attack
Resolution: Automatic Success
Range: 48"

Effect: After the Target Point has been selected, determine a second point on the table by performing a Drift Roll and adding 2" to the result. The Smoke Strike creates a 2" wide, 3" tall straight line AOE between these two points. The AOE provides Heavy Cover for one full turn.
