In the creed, change "sell" to "sale".

Even more notes:

Company color: Typically grey and black with flames rising from the feet up to the knees on CAVs and infantry and on the sides of vehicles (on the wings for planes)

I stoled this idea from Chrome (I think it was Chrome... I'm being to lazy yo double check) and his atlas.
And the nickname "Hickey" was from the twisted mind of Rebel Yell...

Ok next time the history fluff... no really... I swear I'll get it out before Reaper does

That would have been FreeFall's mini probably. He has a couple of Disco Inferno 'Mechs painted up like that.

Ok I need to take a step back and look at what I've done and planning on doing here...

My plan was to make HKI a small mom and Pop merc outfit... TFL (Terran Foriegn Legion)is suppose to be my legion sized army while HKI was orginially planned as a reinforced company (5-7 sections).

Being as small as they are I don't see them able to buy much in the way of bulk or gaining a large contract with a major UCOR. So... hmmmm.

Ok
orginionally I had plan on creating two different Merc Units... HKI and the Terran Foriegn Legion.
But with the recent announcement I'm having to reconceder... the TFL. As much as I like to I doubt I'll be able to build three battleforces. Now when I mean build I'm also refering to buying the models...
So instead of making the TFL an actual funtioning game unit they will remain a part of the fluff background for HKI as well as my brother-in-law's Los Muertos (which are the remements of the TFL's fallen and disgraced 3rd cohort that were disbanded from the Legion) So as you can see the TFL will still be mentioned just never fielded on any game table.

Now as for HKI... I'm a big H-M fan (and the name Saint of Sinners does kind of fit with the image of the Templars...) so they'll still maintain their connection to H-M. Ahhh, but what of your RMI you ask... well... I'll have my Challengers and Bishops (and repair parts even if I have to raid every RMI and Adonnesse base to do so!) In other words I'll worry about it when it comes to it... and I have the rules in front of me to bend...

Cody Fairchild (name subject to change)was a breaker and part time salvager who spent his life savings on rebuilding a salvaged Puma in an effort to achieve his dreams of being a CAV pilot. (remember these are just notes open to the public for opinions and ideas)

With a working Cav at his disposal he only needed one more thing. A partner... a wizzo... Enter Jaquen D'Margo a former member of the now disbanded 3rd cohort of the TFL.

[A little background note on the 3rd cohort of the TFL: the cohort suffered mass desertion during the UFF's iniatal entrance into the first GalWar. This incident left the TFL vulerable to the politic attacks made by the SyRam UCOR (whose business relationship had soured with the Legion over the years to the point of open hostilities)and the UFF was forced to declare the TFL to be tratiors of the State and all the holds on Earth (including the 1st Cohort of the TFL) were seized by UFF and SyRam forces. Unable to spend the time nor resources needed to reclaim the 3rd cohort the Legion was forced to simple disband the cohort and leave both the deserters and loyalist to defend for themselves.]

Obviously, having only one CAV did not open a flood job offers... even with the smooth talking Jaquen as his partner, so Cody was forced to except the first job he was offer even if the job was a little on the shady side.

It was a simple assignment... destablize the government of a small independant planet through the use of stratgic raid on military installations.

In addition to Cody's Puma, the assult force consisted of several other small time merc units and the noterious Bohemnian Dolls (a primiary all Ritterlich female infantry company). With surprise, a handful of CAVs, armor and infantry, the Ad Havoc battleforce lead to an amazing string of victories against the unprepared local planetary militia. At least up on to the groups reached its final objective...

In a surprising display of cunning and intelligences the local government hired their own band of mercenaries to deal with what they thought were(and for the most part were right) a band of maruading pirates. (by the way the part of government hired mercs is still open if anyone is interested.)

The insuing battle was quick, bloody and one sided...the Ad havoc Assualt force was shattered in seconds and an issue of full retreat was ordered. Unforunately only a few CAVs, a single armored tank and three sections of infantry survived to hear the command.

To be continued

Current model Rooster:

Rapid Assault Section
Starhawk VI
Starhawk V
Starhawk V
Regent

Fire Support Section (currently command Section as well)
Falcon
Conqueror
Conqueror
Kahn

Anti-Hard Section
Despot
Ashigura
Harpy
Harpy

SpecOp Infantry Section
Hvy Infantry
Hvy Infantry w/ Hvy Weapons
Hvy Infantry w/ Hvy Weapons
Hvy Infantry w/ Lt mortors

Mobile Infantry (alpha and Beta) section
Lt Infantry
Lt Infantry
Lt Infantry w/ Hvy Weapons
Badger APC

Currently working on Hvy CAV section, so far I only know I want a T-bird in it. The theme for the section will the "ANVIL" to the Rapid Assault's "hammer". Pretty much I want it to be a unmovable force of nature... In addition to this I'm also working on an actual command section and another armor section or two...

Also there is the Aerial Section comprised of Harpies and Kikyu(s) I just haven't bought them yet...

So there you have HKI's rooster of current models. What you mean those aren't H-M or RMI... Well, I'll be damned...

Yeah, but it is a good line up
It covers what I wanted all though I'll admitt I still think the Starhawk VI is over priced
I had orginially concidered having a Katana in place of the Regent but I found the mix of weapons the Regent would bring flush out the sections capitiablities better...

Now I know yer disapointed in me ole Red for not being more creative... I'll tell ya what I'll try to surprise you with my Command section

Time to blow the dust off my old thread and get back to work on it

I got some more boys to add to the roster

Still my Rapid Response Section ( Formerly Rapid Assualt Section) worked out quite well I cloned it for a third section

I've increased my Lt. Inf to a full company (4 sections) and added two sections of Air (a hapry, 2x kikyu, and a kharl)

Also got some more armor (wolves, malefactors, and Ryoshi)

Definately planning to add lots of dingos when they come out and still need to get some naginatas. My next CAV purchase will be to increase my HVY inf to a full company strenght.

Fluff update: I'm currently reworking my merc history. Just wasn't satified with it.

Unit colors: went with a light tan (CItadel's Bleached bone) with spot coloring of green and red.

It sounds pretty cool. Will they fight for the highest bidder or do they only fight for the good guys?

Good guys... bad guys... if only the universe was so simple as black and white.

Honestly, HKI will work for any one who is will to pay their modest fees... as long as they are not asked to preform any immoral acts (ie. firing on civilian targets). HKI does follow a moral code.

Currently I've been contemplating making HKI apart of the TFL which is based off of the French Foreign Legion. In any case I'll be using the FFL's code of conduct (update for the 23rd century) as the basious for HKI's code of ethics.

I really should change my callsign to the Saint of Slackers...

Unforunately, my mini van blew up so I'm forced to save all my greenbacks to buy another car. On the bright side, I'll finally have transportation that'll get me to Topeka so HKI can give those "sandle wearin', Spear chuckin', hide behind a shield 'cause they don't know how to wear pants" Spartans.

Fluff update: ...hmmmm... I'm a slacker alright

Unit colors: Currently I have a single set of CAVs (A Starhawk VI, 2 Starhawk Vs, and a regent) painted... I still need to do a little touch up painting on them before I apply the Matte Varnish... which will be followed up by freehand flames painted on their legs (assuming I ever become brave enough to attempt it...) Then matte varnish again followed by decals (I still need to acquire a picture of a skull wearing a chef's hat.

Soon...

Sometime this week I'll be getting a new car that should be able to get me to Topeka to squish those puny Spartans. In the meantime, I still got to get the rest of my CAV models painted. I three more (an air, an armor, and a Infantry) sections primed and basecoated. I just got to apply the green and red spot coloring and do touch ups on my booboos.
