I haven't had the time to flood the forum with my newbie questions lately, studying for an exam. Sorry

I got pretty bored yesterday so I started repainting cavs. I am starting to go with a race car theme for some of my Koda Works models... Racing stripes, big numbers in circle backgrounds. It looks pretty good. Im still waiting for my camera to return then I can post pics.

Yeah, they should cool.

My current Merc scheme is just a simple white base coat of spraypaint followed up by painting the right arm/let/side in Reaper's Firehawk (a kinda metallic orange), then spinning it in MinWax. It gives it kinda a dirty, used look.

I wasn't really too big on it at first, but FreeFall and Blitz liked it, so that's good enough for me.

I'm priming white, then base coating in Steel Plate and drybrushing with Mithril Steel. Then I pick out some detail with Firehawk Red. Canopies are just Dragon Blue.

I am actually thinking of redoing alot of my stuff. The dirty Red I have is kind of boring.

Not sure what I am gonna do though.

I've been trying to think of a scheme for my OPFOR which will be mainly Malvi. Might try a Field Blue.

I field a 90% malv force using [gasp] GW paints. A base of Shadow Grey, Ultramarine Blue as the primary color and then Blood Red for the trim and such. It's bright but overall looks pretty good (for a lousy painter.)
