This is what I'm thinking of for counters. Ignore the white in the corners, that will get masked out in ZunTzu. Also, they won't be this large in the game. Well actually I suppose if you zoom in all the way they will be, but usually we'll be zoomed out a bit for a more tactical view of the battlefield.

The edge w/the model's name would be considered its "front". Thus why the Czar's image is turned 90 degrees.

Most CAVs would be on this larger counter. The # in the lower right is the model's #DT. The 3 in the lower left corner is a reminder that this model takes up 3 hexes.

Smaller CAVs would be on this counter. On this one I changed the #DT to red and gave it a border to stand out more. I think it works better.

Most vehicles would go on the same sized counter.

Larger vehicles would go on this 2x1. It wouldn't really need the "2" in the bottom corner. That's kinda self evident once you place it on the map.

When I first started making them, I was thinking that I'd put all of the Ritt models on blue counters, Rach on red, Indy on white, etc, etc. Then I realized that's not really important. All we need is 2 sets of different colors - one for each player. So since I've already got the templates for them, I'll make blue and white first.

Is there any way to actually make the counters hex-shaped? Just seems like it would interact with the map a lot more cleanly.

I like the outline and the red numbering, it does stand out better.

Not without a lot more work. Honestly its not worth the time. At least not at this point in time. Maybe if a year from now we've got 30 players, then we can look at some fancier counters.

What other counters are we going to need? I was thinking of AOE counters, but I think we can all just count hexes.

There'll need something to represent damage dice. A Jamming token. Anything else?

Hmm...AOE counters depend on how closely movement is restricted to the hex grid. If it isn't really at all, then they might be helpful in cases where only part of a hex is covered.

Damage dice could be tricky, since they need to move with the model. I don't suppose there's a way to make that happen though. Will just have to make a set of little square counters with the numbers, I guess.

This could be part of the maps, but some sort of objective markers would be nice eventually (say in season two, should we get that far).
