Release Schedule Update

I had a short conversation with the CAVBoss yesterday and got some good info on what to expect from Reaper over the next year. Matt was also kind enough to provide us with the entire release schedule for the JoR 2 minis. So once you get the book, you'll be able to see exactly when your favorite miniatures will be available. Look for that update over the next few days - it takes some time to do all of that data entry. Now on with the news... - With the exception of the Archer, the April minis should be shipping to distributors as you read this. The Mitso-Ta CAV - one I've been highly anticipating - had some problems and had to be pushed back to May.
- The JoR 2 is still on-track for a May release (late-May, but May none-the-less). This isn't official, but by my count it will have 12 CAVs, 10 aircraft (both gunships and troop transports) and a whomping 26 tanks, AFVs and APCs! We'll be getting a preview of one of the model's fluff and stats, hopefully in the next few days.
- CAV fans will be getting 4 books over the next year: the JoR 2 this month, Rules of Engagement from Mark McHugh & Nadin Brezinzki in August, CAV 3rd Printing Revised (Rulebook) in November and then in February of 2004, - oh happy day - Heavy Words the 2nd CAV novella, written by Eric Kelley will be released. Of course then we'll be back into spring and it'll almost be time for the JoR3 to come out.
- Finally; the Psyros. Matt said "we have something huge planned for them" but not to expect anything on them this year. Guess 2004 could be the year of the Psyro...

Behold the Butcher!
May 29, 2003 — Chrome |

I got this from the CAVBoss late Thursday, but had to wait for the datacard to arrive on Friday. By then the FTP access to the site was down and the rest was soon to follow. So your Memorial Day surprise is a little bit late, but definately worth the wait! ;-)
We've all seen the Grundor House Butcher, modeled by our compadre John Bear Ross, on the Mil-Net forums. (If you haven't seen it, follow the link) Now here's your chance to read about it and see it's official datacard!
